Stephanie Molina explains her journey and background as a violinist in one of the best mariachi group for students in San Antonio.
As I begin my third semester here at St. Mary’s, I am filled with excitement and hope for the future. Media Production I is a course I am most excited for this semester. This is due to the fact that many of topics that will be covered are things that I find interesting and that will hopefully make me a better-rounded student. Additionally, this course is exciting to me because I’ve never had the opportunity to develop skills such as video and audio and that’s something I look forward to working on.
However, that fact could also pose a problem. I am familiar with InDesign and Photoshop, but have little to no experience in video editing or audio editing and that perhaps may be a challenge this semester. One strategy I plan to utilize to avoid any confusion is to follow instructions carefully and take proper notes as to how to use programs correctly. Another challenge I may encounter this semester is time management; however I plan to address this by avoiding procrastination and starting projects as early as possible.
I hope to one day become a journalist and, in such a competitive industry, the need to be knowledgeable in all aspects of communication is important. Therefore, the skills covered in this class will benefit me exponentially in my potential future career.
I look forward to this semester and hope to absorb as much as possible and leave with lifelong skills for my development and career.
